Bulatlat articles

In my two-months of internship at Bulatlat, I was able to write four articles. Three of which were published in the online site of Bulatlat. Here are the links to those articles. ;)

This article is an update about the 2010 ARMM elections. For this article, I attended a press conference at Annabel's in Tomas Morato. It was my first time to attend a press conference with only my intern press ID as my companion. I felt scared and nervous at first because I'm not used to going to places alone. Plus, the people around me were all real journalists. I am just a student taking up an assignment for my internship. However as the conference went by, I felt more comfortable. In fact, I was able to ask some questions to the speakers on mic and their answers helped me a lot in my article. :)

For this article, Cielo and I had to interview Dean Luis Teodoro of CMFR and ask about their observations on the election coverage of media. Writing this article wasn't that easy since we had to interview Dean Teodoro twice and we had to submit three drafts before our Editor finally found the article acceptable. But everything was worth it because after two weeks of editing and re-writing, our article got published. :)

Crispin Beltran's second death anniversary and his legacy was the topic of this article. We attended the 2nd death anniversary commemoration of Ka Bel at Plaza Miranda in Quiapo. Zarah and I was the one who did the write-up for that event. This was my last article that got published at the online site of Bulatlat. :)

I did another article together with Cielo which was about the forum on the FOI Bill. Unfortunately, it didn't got published. But we were still happy to be given the chance to attend the FOI Forum in UP Diliman where a lot of people from different sectors were present. It was really a privilege to be sharing a room with prestigious people from the academe, the media, the government and the business world. :)
