Roly-poly’ Noynoy liked ROTC, gigs, debating

This story is my first-ever article that was published in one of the leading newspaper publications in the country, The Philippine Star. :) I feel so proud of the whole PCIJ interns batch 2010 for this. We all got the chance to be published and we really felt happy because our hard work paid off. Thanks to PCIJ for this opportunity!

Our group was assigned to do a story on the college life of president-elect Noynoy Aquino. I was with my group mates, Mark Tare from the Lyceum University and Ivan Lim from the University of Asia and the Pacific. We went to Ateneo De Manila Univesity to search for the yearbooks of Pres. Aquino. We interviewed his batch mate/close friend/lawyer, Atty. Galland Diaz and he shared some of his most memorable experiences with Noynoy which made our article interesting to read. We also interviewed via e-mail another classmate, Mrs. Carrie Torres-De Vera and she told us interesting things about Noynoy which only a few people know about. This article was edited by Mr. Ed Lingao, Multimedia Director of PCIJ. Thanks to sir Ed! He really made the article more fun to read. :)

Here are the links for our Noynoy Aquino article. :)

This was published on the May 2 issue of The Philippine Star and the May 3 and 4 issue of The Manila Times.

Aside from this great privilege of being published, we also got an honorarium from the PCIJ for this article. Haha! :)
